Description:

Small tree or large shrub, similar to Acer ginnala in size and features. Dense habit, larger leaves with small lobes. Improved selection of species and the samaras turn scarlet-red in midsummer providing an interesting contrast against the green background of leaves. Yellow-orange fall foliage color and a more uniform growth habit than species. Excellent small tree for planting beneath utility wires and more tolerant of alkaline soils than Acer ginnala. Multi-stem are grown with three or more stems.
